Montana voters approve legal marijuana
One local police department reacts to the newest addition to the state– legalizing marijuana.
Voters in four states on Tuesday approved measures to legalize and tax recreational marijuana for adults. Arizona, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota have joined the 11 states that have already legalized recreational pot. Oregon residents also voted to decriminalize all drugs, making it the first state in the U.S. to do so.
Biden’s current proposal aims to undo some of the previous social inequities caused by the War on Drugs by removing use and possession as a criminal offense at the federal level.
