As dispensaries started popping up around the country, they needed a dedicated digital space to live online. Weedmaps filled the demand and continues to grow, so much so that the tech platform has made recent acquisitions offering stock in exchange for control over other cannabis-related tech companies, including Sprout and Merry Go Jane. The purchases represent WeedMaps’ strong position in the market and the ability to expand in other sectors.
On December 2, WM Technology, Inc. filed a Form S-1 with the SEC requesting the resale of the shares issued in the recent acquisitions.
