In state legalization news, the biggest story right now seems to be Connecticut passing legislation for adult use cannabis. State governor Ned Lamont says that he is looking forward to signing this bill, ending/fixing the injustice of incarceration for cannabis possession, and keeping Connecticut economically competitive with neighboring states. We also talk about Texas increasing the THC levels for medical cannabis by a scant amount and why that’s just not very ‘Texas big’ and how this could keep the illicit market alive and well. Finally we get into how California is starting to finally invest in the industry to help bring in much needed efficiency and clarity within it’s own varied cannabis markets.
