Growing Cannabis

Aeroponic Cannabis Growing Explained: Patrick Frakes (Rair Cannabis) on Jazz Cabbage Café

Aeroponic growing involves suspending cannabis plants in air and spraying their naked roots with nutrient solution, producing large plants without unexpected metals from soil, or insect pests who use soil as part of their life cycle.

Rair Cannabis in Michigan grows thousands of cannabis plants using this method and the benefits are numerous. Aeroponics has applications for space exploration and human survival, too. Elon Musk has discussed sending self-contained gardens to Mars in advance of human exploration, and they would most likely involve aeroponics. On Earth, aeroponic gardens reclaim 95% of their water used, and the low amount of daily water input makes this method ideal for cultivation in arid or desert environments, where solar panels can provide electricity to run pumps.

Rair Cannabis is opening several new stores in MIchigan during 2021, including a Muskegon location where Jazzy hosts Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson will join Frakes. Also in on the conversation: Shelly Smith, Debra Young, Colin MacDougall and Jim Salame.

This is a clip from the February 9 20201 episode of Jazz Cabbage Café. The show broadcasts every Tuesday at 4pm EST on their Facebook page and is available on streaming services shortly thereafter.
