Family Connections’ ADAPT Coalition invited faith-based leaders, community members, and community partners in this webinar to understand what we can expect with the legalization of recreational marijuana. We learned during this event methods to prevent misuse and abuse of recreational marijuana.
Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Timothy McMahon and Bill Lillis, a certified prevention specialist from the Partnership for a Drug-Free NJ, provided insight on what challenges legalization of recreational marijuana might create for our community. Participants also gained prevention strategies that can be used within congregations and throughout the community in order to provide a healthy environment for all, as well as protect our most vulnerable community members, such as our youth and pregnant women.
