The gold price has faced more volatility this week as the coronavirus continues to impact global markets. Both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Toronto Stock Exchange have entered bear markets as cases and deaths from the outbreak climb higher.

In brighter news, a Health Canada official told the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs that Canada’s cannabis black market has shrunk by almost 30 percent since legalization, with about C$2 billion being diverted from illegal sales during that time.
