On May 28, 2021, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) reintroduced the MORE Act in the House of Representatives. The bill’s objective is to end cannabis prohibition throughout the federal government. If passed, the MORE Act would establish a legalized market with regulations and provide sources for reinvestment in those areas most damaged by prohibition.
The MORE Act was introduced in the House of Representatives on December 2020, but it did not pass in the Senate. Supporters are hoping that a new round of states adopting cannabis legalizes the bill for this reason. You may aid by contacting your elected officials and asking them to support the MORE Act.
