Growing Cannabis With Magnets Series Playlist:

I didn’t know LED’s were so damn powerful!!! Wanted to have them a ‘little too close’ by design to get tight node spacing and a lot of colas to max out my tent space.. well, I had them WAY tf too close for pretty much the whole time, slowly baking my leaves over the course of a week or so. I started to call this grow “better luck next node” as I kept cooking the leaves and then misdiagnosing my light burn with other deficiencies and drove myself a little batty for a while with it.
Raising the light here and there but not for nearly long enough – until I finally had to raise them for my ‘last 3 node’ rule, from about 16-18″ up to 40″ over three days, and damn it – all my deficiencies healed, the soil finally uptook nutrients at full blast, causing some tip burn but I now knew it wasn’t from the light as the rest of the new growth was proper.
There was even a point where the leaves were shrinking and are all far smaller than when I first got the clone. I understand that the leaves on the bottom are bigger and older, but this was like my roots were taking energy back from the leaves because they couldn’t eat – but nope – it was the damn light. So I dunno if that’s a compliment to BloomPlus lights, or if they should change their recommended specs, these plants are resilient – I probably would have killed a more sensitive strain.
The space between the newest colas is now a little bigger and my LST is coming to an end before the net goes up. The last sets of leaves are finally starting thinner and longer, the colas are probably going to still double from here to flower, and the first flower stretch is probably going to fill up my tent (might need a bigger one now).
I had a feeling I would either kill these with this experiment, or I would stress them repeatedly and they’d say “FU** YOU!” and grow back stronger each time – this has resulted in an extra four weeks of veg time in order to heal all the stress, but has also resulted in amazing node count/spacing and SHOULD result in a lot more yield.
Back to the experiments core though – magnets – frequencies: Feeding it my “Bigger Buds” Music For Plants series using the VEG album and the full spectrum ones. I’ve been giving both of them the magnetized water as I didn’t want to variate the test with different feeding jugs/nutrient runs/etc so they get the same food/magnetized/ionized aqua.
I was only going to do one more final video but there is still 8-10 (or more..) weeks left to now flower/harvest/dry/cure/weigh. Then – I’ll be finally showing the side by side full time lapse of start to harvest video and final results of the experiment (I already know the one with the magnets is going to win, by a rather big margin too – unless I totally fuk this up from here).
Quick Specs:
– Strain: Pineapple Express Photoperiod
– 2×4 MarsHydro tent
– BloomPlus 2500 (and 1000, will be adding the 1000 once in flower)
– 7 Gallon Fabric Pots
– Happy Frog Soil + Perlite + Magnets in one of the pots:
(5 x 30mm x 10mm at the bottom and 5 x 18mm x 10mm 2/3rds of the way up), magnetizing water.
– Feed: 3 Part Jungle Juice, CalMag, Bud Juice, Epsom Salt, crushed up calcium tablets.
– PH’ing water to 6.3’ish – Haven’t flushed, trying not to have to. Water to minimal run-off, every 3-4 days.
– Feed just water + some calmag/epsom for two feedings, then the next one is nutrient feed w 50% dosage.
– Studio reference monitors with wide frequency range for audio treatments, Sub woofer for soil massages.
– Water sprayer and mister, PH + PPM + Soil Testers, Sheers, Fans, one oscillating and two stationary.
– LED light strip to help transition lights on/off spectrum colors (sunrise/sunset/season (now on 18/6 schedule).
– Lastly, lot’s of TLC, and patience when things seem to be going wrong. I’ve learned a heck of a lot through this, the mistakes with positive side-effects are better than if this grow went perfectly so far imo. If you have any questions/comments/critiques please drop them below. I’d love to hear from other growers as well, how good/bad am I doing?
More love :),
Norbz.
