Electric Heat Advantages
Low Installation Cost
Simply connect to a power supply.
Can even be hung from the ceiling
Dependability
Limited moving parts so typically provide a long, trouble-free life.
Application Flexibility
Air deflector blades allow for control over the air flow from the unit
Quiet Operation
Simplicity of a heating element and a Fan to move air quietly.
Low Maintenance
Motors are totally enclosed, permanently lubricated, and thermally protected and electrical connections are typically enclosed in control compartments.
Easy to Service
Fan and motor are exposed for easy access if needed.
Electric Heat Individual Room Control
Having nearly instant heat in a grow space is advantageous to prevent the temperature from dipping too low.
This type of heat source can also allow for specific temperature targets to be varied room by room with different thermostats/sections.
Check To Be Sure
Growers should check to make sure their electrical system can handle the addition of an electric heater.
Always consider worst case situation will all electrical systems running at the same time even though this may not be intended.
This includes lights, pumps and fans in addition to the heater.
Electricity and Water
With a grow room there is water of some kind always around so just be sure to take extra precautions to ensure that it is kept isolated and away from areas of high electricity in general.
Heaters tend to be large consumers of electricity so make sure they do not come in contact with water.
