When healthcare professionals need to make decisions for a patient, but have questions about a drug, medical device, test, or procedure; they turn to the evidence. This rule also applies to prescribing cannabis.
Presently, the evidence states that cannabis might be useful in treating symptoms of conditions that include nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, and pain. Patients, clinicians, and others in the Canadian health care system have been asking for evidence on the medical use of cannabis to help guide treatment decisions, and we’re here to help. In this webinar, Dr. Schneider goes through the evidence we currently have available to us and talks about new studies that are already taking place. He also hones in on the clinical evidence related specifically to medical cannabis and GI conditions.
